Karma Ekmekji her name alone is empowering, but her accomplishments are the reason why she is a guest on our show . She is the founder of Diplowomen, an initiative that seeks to provide mentorship opportunities while strengthening all aspects of diplomacy.
Karma is a meditation advisor with UNWOMEN. She is also a Senior Policy Fellow at the Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs (IFI) at the American University of Beirut (AUB)and the Lead Advisor on their Women, Peace and Security initiative.
Karma was the International affairs and relations Advisor for the former Primer Minister Of Lebanon Saad Hariri. She has managed to handle all the challenges in her journey with optimal results.
She served at the UN Secretariat’s Department of Political Affairs in New York and she is a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network, the British Government’s International leaders Program, and was named one of the top 99 foreign policy leaders under 33 years old. Her career has included many positions as an advisor, diplomat, coordinator, and leader.
Diplomacy is the best fabric on which we can build any social structure, and she is a perfect example of an individual who is aware of the value of a diplomatic approach to life.
She is a member of countless organizations and networks, with a range of exceptional positions that have allowed her to flex her diplomatic muscle and achieve recognition in Lebanon, Great Britain, the US, and several other locations worldwide.
Karma holds a master on Public Administration and is a Penrose Award recipient. This aware is only given to those with an outstanding academic performance.
